Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop employing just four individuals. Total sales for that year amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and other parts. Through 5 years of operation, the company had expanded to forty employees and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the leading global manufacturers within the material handling industry.

Manufacture and design of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of new business opportunities. During the past 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a very advanced field and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this improvement. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the leader supplier of forklift attachments and various associated items. The business feels assured in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding buyer's needs in the future and remaining competitive within the global market.

During the nineteen fifties, Cascade started to fabricate, design, and advertise its hydraulic accessories. A new facility was constructed in 1956, in order to accommodate all of the plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's present center of operations. After fifteen years of business, total staff reached 180 staff and sales had reached practically 2.3 million dollars.

A second manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.

In the year 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in the year 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Since then the business has expanded its manufacturing amenities throughout the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are fabricated worldwide due to many subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five firms, together with the worldwide best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
